GROUP

"The idea of working in group is sometimes a little intimidating to people, but it offers a type of healing that is completely unique. My personal journey has demonstrated to me that group process or study often supports more rapid growth than one to one work alone, and it is also a wonderful way to access healing resources and therapeutic guidance when our finances restrict us from being able to work one to one with a skilled professional. Group is a wonderful space for those not ready for one to one and also for those of us recently out of one to one intensive, looking for a gentle holding container to support continued growth.

Many of us grew up in forms of emotional isolation and unfortunately, it is not uncommon that the healing journey becomes an extension of that - it can be a lonely path when others around us aren't committed to therapeutic process or spiritual pursuit. Having the opportunity to be welcomed in to a safe space, to learn and grow alongside others of like mind, others that feel the things we feel, others that share many of the experiences we have had and aspirations we hold, is incredibly powerful and inspiring. We need each other. " - Aimee Rai

SANGHA STUDY GROUP

Sangha is spiritual community and traditionally it is considered a vital ingredient on the path of authentic spiritual pursuit. As westerners an increasing number of us like to think of ourselves of spiritual and have a genuine interest in spirituality. Very few of us however have had an introduction to spirituality outside of a commercial environment, therefore we have little understanding of what it even means to live an authentically spiritual life and work towards awakening.

This group is designed to bridge the gap between our spiritual aspirations and our actions - it is an invitation to learn both the view and practices of the mystial and potent traditions of classical tantra and Tibetan Buddhism. Please note that tantra in this context has nothing to do with the sexual neo-tantra we see flooding the commercial arena at this time. Aimee has been teaching meditation to students of all levels for the last 11 years, is a long term practitioner of classical tantra and a student of Geshe Tenzin Zopa (Unmistaken Child)

We will meet bi-weekly on a Tuesday evening at 19.00 starting from 7th Feb 2023 for 90 minutes. Each week we will explore a different aspect of scripture or teaching alongside a supporting meditation practice with occasional guest teachers to enrich our experience. You are welcome to leave the group at any time, but a monthly commitment and subscription of £60 is necessary to join. Those who wish to make a deep commitment to a holistic process this year and feel called to attend every Tuesday evening - both therapy and sangha groups - can join for a reduced combined fee of £100 a month. Your first payment will be taken in the last days of January before the groups launch.

 MINDFUL MUMS

As mum to a three year old and working with many women, I know how intensely lonely, hard, and at times traumatic motherhood can be. Parenting is hard on the nervous system and is often extremely triggering, bringing up old wounds that we thought were haled, or that we didn't know were there.  My experience is that mothers often need to hear each other share to begin to dissolve the shame. Yes, we can endeavour to be conscious gentle parents, but it is also totally normal to lose our shit sometimes and feel exhausted and resentful. This group welcomes the whole experience, not the societal expectation.

As mothers it can be near impossible to find time for our own wellbeing, but it is time that is desperately needed because our childrens wellbeing is a direct reflection of ours and, because we matter. We are more than just mothers.  So, in the awareness that many mothers seeking support and process may be unable to make the Tuesday evening groups because of bath and bedtime, I have created Mindful Mums.  This special bi-weekly group will be held for just 6o minutes on a Tuesday morning from 10.00 and your kids are welcome! Obviously if they are at nursery or down for a nap, that's a bonus for you, but I never want women to feel isolated by the burden of parenting, so this group welcomes you no matter how many small humans are climbing you and no matter whether you've made it out of your pyjamas yet.

We will spend time connecting, engaging with therapeutic process, and spending a short time working with practices to support our nervous system and bring calm to the chaos. You are welcome to leave the group at any time but a monthly commitment and subscription of £40 is necessary to join. This group begins in 2023 on Tuesday 31st Jan Your first payment will be taken in the last days of January before the groups launch.
